Alana Bellizzi, M.S., BCBA (she/her)

Alana Bellizzi began her career with the developmentally disabled population while an undergraduate psychology major. She became a peer mentor and job coach for transitional-age individuals with varying disabilities. During her undergraduate program she happened upon a Learning Theory elective that would change her life forever.

Alana was first introduced to the clinical application of applied behavior analysis within the autism population when she became and instructor and home programmer/caregiver trainer for the Institute of Educational Achievement in New Jersey.

Alana later moved to Melbourne, FL, where she received her M.S. degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Florida Institute of Technology. Here, she received the 2008 top student in Applied Behavior Analysis Award, was a graduate assistant, assisted in the clinical training of her peers, and was the Student Coordinator for the 2009 and 2010 FIT Autism Conferences.

Alana received her board certification in behavior analysis in 2010. She became a distance consultant and, later, an associate director of a clinic in Texas serving Active Duty Military families.

Alana later returned to New Jersey to become Senior Behavior Analyst at one of the state’s largest adult group home and day program providers serving individuals with varying developmental and psychiatric disorders, who had histories of and presented with significantly dangerous
behavior.

Before becoming the owner and director of operations for ABA Collective, LLC., she spent 4 years as the Program Director for all insurance based programming at a world-renowned program in the New Jersey. This program had an emphasis on early intervention and social skills development. While in that position, she was tasked to grow all current insurance-based programming, as well as assist in the development of a new insurance-based program to broaden the reach of the organization. Over her tenure with the organization the insurance-based programs saw a 25% growth in clients served.

Alana has also participated in local and national conferences, given free caregiver seminars, and has been published in the Journal of Organizational Behavior Management
